What is the purpose of the prayers? Do our prayers fail to reform us?
Our people do read Quran but do not understand the Arabic language. Majority of the people read it for sawab or rewards from Allah. It is alright.
Now asking everyone to learn Arabic language like Urdu and English is asking for too much time.

I do not think that we need the role of reformers. European nations went through reformation followed by renaissance. In the Muslim world there were reformers. However, they always looked back and tried to bring back the past as Khilafat (Caliphate) the time of very close companions of the last Prophet (S.A.W.) of Allah. They never give what is need for the Muslim in the global world coming for our new Muslim generation.

Knowing Arabic language or reading is another subject. We are talking about learning and understanding the Quran and the sayings of the last prophet of Allah. People do not have time to study and understand Quran. It needs efforts and time for this purpose.
Common people believe in our clergy in Pakistan like Maulana, Imams like in the United States. They do not read the Quran and understand it like studying the subject matter of a particular Surah or Ayat of the holy Quran because it takes time. It is unfortunate, particularly as I see in my day to day life.

I think it is prevalent in the entire Muslim world. It is the duty of each individual he or she to read, understand by all means and resources available in this modern world. It needs your interest in learning Quran and the saying of the prophet.
The world has changed now!
We have to learn and practice Islam in “Action” as our prophet did to teach people and ask them seeking knowledge even if they had to go to China. I think at that time China may be the great center of education. Dedicated Muslims did go to China and spread the teaching of the new religion of Islam there.
Today, people study the subject thoroughly with 360 degrees questioning and answering to have a deep knowledge of the subject in question.

I hope people understand. If you do not know much about the Arabic language but we have very good translation or explanation available provided you know who is the author of that particular translation in the language you are interested. We learn because Allah commanded in Surah Iqra, the first Surah that was revealed to the last Prophet (S.A.W.) of Allah.
COVID-19: Worship And Seeking Forgiveness
In my attached article, I tried to answer what Quran says about it, “There is no compulsion in religion”. Only Allah knows who is right in their beliefs as only Allah will declare to them what they have done in the present world after the death (new life) in the hereafter. It is our belief.
May Allah gives us the guidance to read and understand the message of Allah and understand the sayings of the prophet and act fully to comply with the commandments of Allah and follow and implement what our prophet did for the whole community of this world.
Today we are Muslim and hope to die as a Muslim, a great blessing of Allah. We believe every one of uswill taste the death at a fixed unknown date and time (Surah no. 63, Ayat 11) unknown date and time according to this Quranic Verse.
