Lahore, 11th November: ‘#ApologizeUSembassy’ has become a top trend on social media today. According to reports of Baaghi TV, earlier, a tweet by PML-N central leader Ahsan Iqbal was retweeted by the US embassy in Pakistan. Then came a strong reaction in which the demand for an apology from Ahsan Iqbal as well as the US embassy became a trend. Yesterday, PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal shared an article by Ishan Tharoor, an Indian journalist published in the Washington Post, entitled “Trump’s defeat is a blow to the world’s corruption and dictators.” Sharing this article, Ahsan Iqbal wrote that we also have one in Pakistan and it will come down very soon.  Ahsan Iqbal’s tweet was allegedly retweeted by the Twitter account of the US Embassy in Pakistan and later deleted in response.
