‘Where is the Opposition claiming that budget has not been passed?’: Governor Punjab

Tuesday, June 30th: According to the report of Baaghi TV, Provincial Minister for Energy Dr Akhtar Malik has called on Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar.

On this occasion, the Governor of Punjab said that where are the opposition parties claiming that the budget has not been passed? Congratulations to Prime Minister Imran Khan and his team on the approval of the budget. Prime Minister Imran Khan wants to take the country forward.

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar further said that the agenda of the opposition is nothing but to stop accountability but it will never happen. We are pursuing politics of principles and vision. The government is taking steps to address the economic challenges facing the country.

Governer of Punjab further said that the war against Coronavirus is a war of 220 million Pakistanis.

It is to be noted that the Finance Bill 2020 was passed by a majority vote in the National Assembly. Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser expressed anger over the hoisting of placards by the opposition members and directed that the placards violate the rules and they should be removed. In the voting, 2 members of BNP Mengal supported the opposition.
