Who murdered his own grand daughter in the name of honor?

Baaghi TV: The accused who killed his young grand daughter in the name of honor in Mandoni area, Kohat has been arrested on the spot along with a murder weapon.

A young man from Nowshera has been injured in the incident which took place in the name of honor and has been admitted to hospital.

While the police on the spot arrested the accused Habib Khan son of Ghulam Habib Khan, resident of Mandoni Shadipur who is the grandfather of the girl and transferred him to Gambat police station. The DSP said that immediately after the incident, the police recovered the murder weapon, pistol and ammunition from the possession of the accused who was taken into custody from the scene and also seized other important evidence from the crime scene and sent it to the forensic laboratory.

DSP Nazir Hussain said that young Kausar Bibi, a young girl, was killed by her grandfather in the alleged murder and attempted murder in the name of honor, while Rizwan, a resident of Nowshera, was admitted to the hospital in critical condition.

A formal FIR of murder and premeditated murder against the accused arrested on the spot has been registered at Gambat police station, which is being investigated in the right direction, the DSP said. While confessing to the crime, he revealed that he went to visit his daughter, who lives in the village of Mandoni. There in the absence of other family members, he saw his young granddaughter with a an unknown man in a room of his daughter’s house.

When he saw them, he got angry and opened fire on both of them. After the incident, when he started fleeing from the scene, he was cornered the police. According to the DSP, he was arrested.The accused has confessed his guilt before the police which was presented before the court after completing the preliminary legal proceedings from where he was later sent to jail on judicial remand.

DSP President Nazir Hussain further said that the immediate arrest of the accused involved in this heinous and attempted murder is a testament to the excellent performance of the local police which has been highly appreciated in the public circles.
