Lahore, 20th May: Moscow, the capital city of Russia is a place from where the coronavirus pandemic has been eradicated.
The World Health Organization has also confirmed that there’s a possibility of the complete elimination of COVID-19 in Russia.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has taken note of the current decline in coronavirus cases in Moscow, saying it hopes the trend will continue, and that the coronavirus will not re-emerge in Russia.
“I can see that the number of coronavirus cases in Moscow has been falling steadily for four days now, and we hope that this trend will continue,” Melita Vujnovic, the WHO’s representative in Russia, told the state radio.

“I agree with the Russian watchdog that there is no reason to talk about the COVID-19, but when the number of cases starts to increase, it is important to keep an eye on it,” he said.
Russia’s watchdog has said that the coronavirus could be eradicated from Russia by the fall of this year, which was later confirmed by Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
The desired herd immunity will be achieved and the country will emerge from the crisis soon.
The World Health Organization (WHO) spokesman in Russia said that the low incidence of coronavirus in Russia and the fact that vaccination could improve the situation by the autumn will take place, as a large part of the population has acquired herd immunity against the coronavirus.
