Why Was Sushant Singh Going Through Depression?
Fearless actress Kangana Raunat who is known for speaking out against nepotism in the film industry, has blamed nepotism for the suicide of Sushant Singh.
A day ago, 34 year old Indian actor Sushant Singh reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan. It has been said about him that he was getting treatment for depression.
His death has sparked a debate over depression in India whereas the police is investigating the reason for his suicide.
Kangana Ranaut said that Sushant’s death has shaken us all to the core but some people are saying that people with weak brains commit suicide due to depression. She said Sushant Singh was a position holder and had also won a scholarship so how could he have had a weak brain?
Kangana further said that in his last posts and interviews Sushant had asked people to watch his films, that he has no godfather and the industry that is not owning him will kick him out. Kangana demanded whether this attitude of the industry was not responsible for this tragedy.
Regarding the industry’s attitude, Kangana also said that the late actor got no award for his debut film. He was not even appreciated for movies like Kedarnath, Dhoni, and Cchicchore. Instead a vulgar movie like Gully Boy gets all the awards but a brilliant movie like Ccicchore does not get any award. It should be noted that Cchicchore released last year and Sushant Singh played its leading role, and Gully Boy also released last year in which the leading roles were played by Ranvir Singh and Aaliya Bhatt.
Kangana further said that I myself direct movies and people call these superhit films, failures. Some people tell me that I should not pick up difficult scripts in bad times.
She said that Sushant’s death was not suicide but premeditated murder. She said Sushant’s only mistake was that people told him he cannot get work in the film industry and he believed it.
It should be clear that Sushant started his acting career with the TV drama Kis Desh May Hai Mera Dil. After that he starred in the movie PK, as Sarfaraz, a role for which he got much popularity.
Apart from that he appeared in movie like MS Dhoni, Kedarnath, and Raabta.
