Lahore, 23rd July 2020: Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) has finally announced that Malala Yousafzai will be the keynote speaker at the convocation 2020.

According to the report of Baaghi TV, LUMS on Wednesday announced that Malala Yousafzai, the youngest Nobel Laureate and a global advocate for education and women empowerment, will be the keynote speaker at the LUMS convocation 2020.

The University announced on its Facebook page about the major development that Malala Yousafzai will be a part of the LUMS Convocation 2020.

The ceremony will be hosted on Facebook Live on 25 July (Saturday). “For students, graduation signifies the successful completion of their studies and offers them a perfect opportunity to celebrate and reflect on their achievements with their family, friends, and faculty. However, due to COVID-19 restrictions, and health and safety protocols, LUMS is marking this momentous occasion with a virtual ceremony,” reads a LUMS note issued in this regard.

However, earlier it was reported by Baaghi TV that many students from the prestigious university did not want the Nobel laureate to be part of their convocation. Some claiming Malala to be an American agent.

The LUMS university has taken the final decision and is proud to make the announcement. It may be remembered that Malala Yousafzai has recently graduated from Oxford University London.
