Haleema Malik, the paternal aunt of incarcerated Kashmiri leader and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman Yasin Malik, passed away in Srinagar after a brief illness.
Large number of people attended her funeral prayers, after which she was laid to rest in a local cemetery.
Convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Mahmood Ahmad Saghar, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, and the spokesperson of JKLF, Muhammad Rafiq Dar, expressed condolences and sympathy with Yasin Malik and his family. They prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
