Noor Muqaddam Murder Case: Statements Recorded, Cross-Examination Completed
Baaghi TV: Zahir Jaffer and others accused of Noor Muqaddam’s murder case were made part of court hearing on Skype.

According to Baaghi TV’s reports, the Noor Muqaddam’s murder case was heard in the local court of Islamabad.

Due to road closures, Zahir Jaffer and others accused were made a part of the hearing on Skype. Ismat Zakir, the accused who was released on bail of therapy works, appeared in the court as the court ordered that that case should be taken forward. The accused’s lawyer objected to making a court appearance through video link. To this the judge demanded fair verdict from the accused’s lawyer instead of making excuses. The accused’s lawyer then suggested to call more witnesses so they can cross-examine.  Adding to this, Judge Atta Rabbani said that copies of the hearing shall also be provided.

Zahir Jaffar’s parents are accused of aiding and abetting in the Noor Muqaddam murder case. Whereas Jaffer’s parents declare that they have nothing to do with the murder of the girl by their son. They said that they stand with the affected party and not with their son. The court has indicted 12 accused including the main accused Zahir Jaffer in Noor Muqaddam murder case. Others include Zakir Jaffer, Ismat Adam, Iftikhar, Jamil, Jan Muhammad and six other accused, including Tahir Zahoor of Therapy Work.

It should be noted that the daughter of the former ambassador was killed within the limits of Kohsar police station in Islamabad. Noor’s father Shaukat Ali Muqaddam stated that he received a call from Kohsar police station that his had been killed. Upon reaching the house, he saw that his daughter’s throat was cut. Noor Muqaddam’s killer Zahir Jaffar, his parents and the other accused are imprisoned in Adiala Jail while the US Embassy has also contacted Noor’s killer.

A murder file of Noor Muqaddam, daughter of former ambassador of Pakistan Shaukat Ali Muqaddam has been registered in Kohsar police station, according to the police.
