Mardan September 25 (Online): Zahir Shah was unopposed elected president of Mardan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) on Friday.

Sohail Amjad was unopposed elected as senior vice-president and Nisar Ali was elected a vice president.

The elected candidate has submitted their nomination paper with the Election Committee Chairman Hassan Khan, however no other candidate has filed papers against these candidates.

Zahir Shah of Associate Group has been declared unopposed president; Sohail Amjad and Nisar Ali of Corporate Group have been declared unopposed Senior Vice President and Vice President respectively. 8 members of Associate group were elected for Executive body of MCCI  including Waqar Azeem, Sohail Amjad, Saad Masood-ur-Rehman, Zahid Anwar, Nisar Ali, Muhammad Khalid, Waqar Ali, Humayun Khan were elected while 9 members from corporate group including Zahir Shah,Haji Fayyaz Khan, Shah Jahan, Waheed Gul, Hakeem Khanzada, Abdul Karim, Mohammad Nawas Khan, Bahadur Shah, Mohammad Fayyaz were elected. Addressing at this occasion newly elected president Zahir Shah said that the uncontested election is a matter of great honor for him and he will not hurt the trust placed on him by his colleagues.

Zahir Shah said that he would continue to work for the development of the chamber as before with the access of foreign markets to the traders.
