Lahore, 16th March: Former president Asif Ali Zardari announces that his party will not resign from the assemblies at any cost.

Baaghi TV: According to reports, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday clearly told the PDM leaders that his party members won’t resign from assemblies at any cost.

Former President also demanded that PML-N Leader Mian Nawaz Sharif should fly back to the country for a decisive battle with the government.

Asif Zardari, while addressing a Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) meeting in Lahore through video link, said that the decision for mass resignations will only strengthen the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.

According to reports, Zardari expressed that he himself served a 14-year-long jail term so if PML-N Supreme Leader Nawaz Sharif is serious in his fight for democracy, then he should immediately come back to the country.

The former president also maintained that the PML-N leader Ishaq Dar should have come too to vote in Senate elections.

Zardari added that the upcoming long march by PDM will only be successful if Nawaz Sharif returns to the country, the way former PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto Shaheed did in the year 1986 and 2007.

It is quite likely that Zardari’s statement will cause a rift within the 11-party-alliance made against the ruling government.
