American singer and actress, Zendaya, opens up about quarantine blues and why getting help is essentially nothing to be ashamed about, “I think it’s a beautiful thing.”
In an interview with British Vogue, the Euphoria star opened up about her life amidst the ongoing pandemic and how it took a toll on her mental health. The 25-year-old Spider-Man: No Way Home actress said that life in the Covid-19 pandemic has made her a sadness like never before.

The actress elaborated that it’s a sadness where you wake and just feel bad the whole day. Zendaya added, “What is this dark cloud that’s hovering over me and I don’t know how to get rid of it?”
Speaking to the interviewer, Zendaya added that she advocates therapy, especially in cases where people are financially capable and in need of help. The singer-songwriter went on to confirm that she has been in therapy adding that “it’s a beautiful thing”.

Elaborating, the actress added that therapy provides an outlet to talk about one’s feelings with a “neutral” third party, someone who doesn’t stand to benefit/lose from the situation. Zendaya added that while a strong support system is necessary, sometimes, a third party can be an incredible outlet to talk things out with.
Additionally, the actress added that there is nothing wrong with working on one’s mental health and that dealing with such issues by talking to someone who can help is essential.
