CHITTAGONG: Zimbabwe beats Afghanistan by 7 wickets in T20 tri series.
According to details, while batting first, Afghanistan failed to put a big target and posted only 155 runs on board. Rahmanullah Gurbaz was top scorer from Afghanistan who made 61 runs off 47 balls. Leg spinner Tinotenda Mutombodzi destroys Afghan batting and finished his spell with figures 2-18. While a chasing a target of 156 runs, captain Hamilton Masakadza helps his team to claims a victory over Afghanistan.
It was also a farewell match of Hamilton Masakadza who made this memorable by leading his side to a seven wicket victory. Masakadza hit 71 off 42 balls with 4 fours and 5 sixes. In his last international match, Masakadza combined a important partnership of 70 runs with Regis Chakbva for the second wicket. Chakabva made 32 helpful runs in successful run chase. “Good to get a send off like this.” Masakadza said in his farewell match.
Reportedly, Afghanistan will take on Bangladesh in final on 24th of September.
