Lahore, 30th March: Pakistan will soon be getting 3 million doses of another Chinese vaccine that will be packaged in the country.
According to the report of Baaghi TV, Pakistan will import Chinese Cansino Biologics vaccine for the coronavirus pandemic in bulk and will package them locally.
Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar announced on Tuesday that the country will import the bulk COVID-19 vaccine by mid of April, from which 3 million doses will be packaged here.
He took to his Twitter account o make the announcement:
We will be getting bulk vaccine by mid april from cansino from which 3 million vaccine doses can be made. The bulk vaccine recieved will be formulated, sterilized and packed in Pakistan. For this purpose special equipment has been procured and manpower is being trained

The Minister tweeted, “We will be getting bulk vaccine by mid April from Cansino from which 3 million vaccine doses can be made. The bulk vaccine received will be formulated, sterilized and packed in Pakistan. For this purpose special equipment has been procured and manpower is being trained.”
Umar added, “First batch of Cansino vaccine procured being received today. This is the vaccine in which Pakistan participated in phase 3 trials, which was the first time ever that Pakistan had done so for any vaccine.”

According to reports, one million doses of Chinese Sinopharm vaccine are expected to reach Pakistan in a couple of days.
Earlier in March, it was reported that Pakistan had ordered the first batch of 60,000 single-dose vaccine from Cansino Biologics which is expected to be delivered within a week.
During the trials conducted in Pakistan and other countries, it has been observed that the single-dose Chinese vaccine can be administered to people of all ages as it was effective to the people of 18 to 80 plus years of age.
