Lahore, 1st October: Lt General (R) Muzaffar Hussain Usmani, former Commandant 5 Corps Karachi has passed away.

According to the report of Baaghi TV, General Usmani suffered a heart attack.

The body of former Corps Commander General (retd) Muzaffar Hussain Usmani was found from a vehicle in the posh area of ​​Karachi.

According to police officials, a body was found in a car in Sahar Street. Upon receiving the information, police rushed to the spot and the body was immediately shifted to PNS Shifa Hospital Karachi.

SP Clifton says retired lieutenant general Muzaffar Hussain Usmani has died of a heart attack.

As per reports, ex-commandant suffered a cardiac arrest while driving alone and passed away on the driving seat.

It may be recalled that Lieutenant General (R) Muzaffar Hussain Usmani was the Deputy Chief of Army Staff during General Musharraf’s tenure.

He was born in 1944 in the Muradabad area of ​​India and his family migrated to Pakistan in 1947. In 1966, he joined the Pakistan Army. 

He was the commander of two corps of the Pakistan Army (Karachi and Bahawalpur) after which he rose to the rank of Deputy Chief of Army Staff.
