With all kind of gatherings banned, NCOC has imposed tougher restrictions

Lahore, 28th March: A special session of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), chaired by Asad Umar was held on Sunday in Islamabad.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, important decisions regarding tougher restrictions in the country amid the increasing number of coronavirus cases, were taken at the meeting held by NCOC today.

According to reports, Chief Ministers of all four provinces, Punjab, Sindh, KP and Balochistan attended via video link.

Following important decisions were made in the meeting:

• NCOC will provide updated hotspot maps to Provinces for enforcement of Expanded lockdowns with effect from 29th March 21.

• There will be complete ban on marriages (including indoor & outdoor) from 5th April onwards. However, provinces will be at liberty to implement restrictions in early time frame as per the situation on ground.

• All kind of gatherings (indoor/outdoor) will be banned with immediate effect. This will include all social, cultural, political, sports and other events.

• Various options for reduction of inter provincial transport were also considered. Final decision will be taken based on the input from provinces and analysis of data regarding number of inter provincial commuters via air, rail and road.

• Provinces will ensure that vaccination targets given by NCOC are timely met. Correct and timely data ingestion in NIMS will be ensured by all provinces.
