Lahore, 2nd December: Samsung’s Galaxy Note is one of the most popular smartphones that has made large screen devices popular around the world.

The first Galaxy Note had a 5.3-inch screen that looks small today but was the largest at the time with the introduction of new technology in the form of a stylus or S-Pen.

But it looks like 2020 could be the last year for the Note series phones.

According to a Reuters report, Samsung plans to roll out the Galaxy Note series in 2021 and will focus on foldable phones instead.

The report quoted sources as saying that the company has no plans to launch a new version of the Galaxy Note in 2021.

It is believed that such reports have been circulating for some time but they were being termed as rumours but now Reuters has presented solid evidence that Samsung intends to eliminate its iconic phone.

The report said that the Note series will be replaced by an S21 series phone and the new version of the foldable phone will have S-Pen support.

The company declined to comment, according to the report.

Tom Kang, an analyst at research company Counterpoint, said sales of the Note series phones are expected to reach 500,000 this year instead of 8 million.

He said that the demand for flagship phones has come down this year and most people are not interested in new phones.

The Galaxy Note 20 went on sale in August for $999 USD, while the iPhone 12 starts at $799 USD.
