Baaghi TV: Habib Jalib was a powerful and invincible voice of truth and justice. Habib Jalib was born on March 24, 1928 in Hoshiarpur. And our poetry appeared on the horizon when the All India Muslim League was active in the Tehreek-e-Pakistan. Under the influence of this movement, Habib Jalib moved from a romantic poet to a revolutionary poet. Habib Jalib’s poem was included in the film Zarqa.
Habib Jalib also worked as a proof reader in a newspaper published from Karachi. Jalib was a popular poet. He was exiled. He was imprisoned many times. However, Jalib did not give up poetry. He was also posthumously awarded Nishan-e-Imtiaz on March 23, 2009. Habib Jalib’s famous poems include, Zalmat-e-Kozaiyi, Quaid e azam dekh rahey ho apna Pakistan, Farangi ka jo main darbaan hota, Watan ko kuch nai khatra, Ye munsif bi tau qaidi hain, Gul Sunn, Main ne isse kaha, Dastoor, Main nahi manta etc.
Habib Jalib died on March 12, 1993 at the age of 64.
