Lahore, July 5th: 48 doctors working in teaching hospitals of Punjab have resigned. According to the Punjab Health Department, all the doctors submitted their resignations at different times in the year 2020 which have been accepted.
According to the notification issued by the Department of Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education, the resignations of 14 doctors working at Mayo Hospital in Lahore have been accepted while 2 at Allied Hospital Faisalabad, 4 at DG Khan Hospital, one at Civil Hospital Bahawalpur and another by Sheikh Zaid Rahim Yar Khan. The resignation of 2 doctors has been accepted.
According to the notification, the resignations of 7 doctors of Jinnah Hospital, 2 doctors of Government Nawaz Sharif One Gate Hospital and 6 doctors of Children’s Hospital Lahore were accepted.
Similarly, the resignations of 2 doctors of Services Hospital, 1 of Lady Aitchison and 3 doctors of Lahore General Hospital were also accepted.
According to the health department, the resignations of one doctor each from Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital, Shahdara Teaching Hospital, Gujranwala Teaching Hospital and Mian Manshi Hospital were also accepted.
