PDM Rally: Journalists facing difficulty

Lahore, 16th October: Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) rally is being held today at Gujranwala.

According to the report of Baaghi TV, the preparations and arrangements for the PDM rally have been completed.

As per reports, Gujranwala city has been sealed off for the rally, containers have been set up around the city to stop workers of opposition parties.

The media was allowed to enter the venue by breaking the lock of gate number 2 made for the media. However, the administration has asked the media to cover the venue. The media will have to stay out until the security arrangements and security of the venue are cleared.

Workers have started arriving in the hall, after searching their clothes, workers are being allowed to enter the hall, all areas near the hall have been sealed off, causing severe distress to the people. The movement of vehicles is completely closed, citizens are being allowed to pass on foot.

Security of Gujranwala meeting has been handed over to Ansar-ul-Islam. Acting Salar of Ansar-ul-Islam Haji Abdullah Khilji presented security plan to Rana Sanaullah. PML-N Punjab President Rana Sanaullah acknowledged the services of Ansar-ul-Islam, expressing satisfaction over the security arrangements of the meeting.

On the other hand, according to sources, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will hold a press conference at Qamar Zaman Kaira’s residence in Lala Musa on Friday, October 16 at 2 pm, after which he will lead the rally and go to Gujranwala via GT Road. He will also address the people at Wazirabad.

The rally is scheduled for 5 pm to 12 pm, with Coronvirusa SOPs required to observe. According to the agreement, no PDM leader will speak outside the stadium. DMGT will not close the road, no speech will be made against national security agencies and unconstitutional.
