CAA issues new travel guidelines for international passengers

Flight lieutenant (Retd.) Khaqan Murtaza, a BS-21 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service, presently posted under Government of Sindh has assumed the charge of Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Director-General (DG).

According to the details, Flt. Lt. (Retd.) Khaqan Murtaza has been appointed as the new DG CAA under Section 10 of the Civil Servents Act, 1973.

Khaqan Murtaza has replaced Hassan Nasir Jamy as the new DG CAA and has been transfered/appointed with immediate effect and until further orders.

Chief executive officer (CEO) Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Air Marshal Arshad Malik welcomed the appointment of DG Civil Aviation Authority and extended best wishes to Khaqan Murtaza.

The appointment of a permanent chief of the regulator was a long pending demand of the airlines. It will strengthen Pakistan’s aviation industry, said the CEO PIA, and assured that all the airlines are working in harmony with the civil aviation authority to take the aviation industry forward.
