Washington: Wildfire breaks out again in the United States (US) state of California with 4 per cent of the state’s forests been burnt to ashes due to continuous fires.
According to media reports, a wildfire has broken out again in the canyon water pass of the state of Southern California injuring 2 fire brigade workers.
As of Tuesday, more than two million acres have burned across the state so far in 2020, which makes this a record year, surpassing 2018, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

The fire, which forced the evacuation of 25,000 people, was 10 percent contained but still burning across 26 square kilometres (10 square miles). The state has been plagued by widespread forest fires over the past few years, but this year saw unusual and horrific fires that killed 30 people.
Since the start of the year, wildfire has scorched more than 17,000sq km (6,564sq miles) of California land, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

According to environmentalists at the University of Sydney, wildfire in Australia has killed an estimated 480 million mammals, birds and reptiles between September 2019 and January 2020, and the numbers continue to rise.
