Reham Khan offers an apology to Imran Khan’s close friend
Lahore, 10th December: Prime Minister’s ex-wife Reham Khan apologizes to Imran Khan’s friend after accusing him wrongly.
Baaghi TV: Prime Minister Imran Khan’s ex-wife Reham Khan had to apologize for accusing the renowned businessman Aneel Musarrat who is also a close friend of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Reham Khan wrote in her apology, “I run a YouTube channel called ‘Reham Khan Official’, on December 6, 2019, I uploaded a video which was 46 minutes and 27 seconds long and was watched by about 37,000 people. In that video, I quoted Mr Aneel Musarrat and said several sentences about him.”
She informed that she had removed the video from her YouTube channel, which was published on December 6, 2019. She further said, “I completely withdraw my comments about Aneel Musarrat and I apologize for the inconvenience caused to Mr Musarrat in business or charitable work, I will not comment further in this matter.”
In her video, Reham Khan had alleged that the Roosevelt Hotel in London was being sold by the government to Mr Aneel Musarrat and that PM Khan is giving this hotel to his friend.
On the other hand, Aneel Musarrat, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a multi-million dollar business in the name of MCR Property, said that he has come a long way from driving a taxi to here. “I dropped out of school at the age of 17, I was weak in my studies and to be honest, it wasn’t for me,” said Aneel Musarrat, who started his career working in a fast-food restaurant in England.
There was a struggle, when I was working at McDonald’s I thought of driving a taxi. He said that I liked the business, especially the real estate business, so when my father died, my uncle gave a little portion of the heritage to my mother, which he helped her in taking care of. Aneel Musarrat said that he bought his first house at the age of 18 for which 95% of the money was repaid by taking a loan from a bank and relatives.
That’s how I started buying and renting a house. He said I wanted to do something in my life because my friends were all doing great things and I was a bad coin so I wanted to change and be successful. He said the way he got a bank loan for a house in the UK was the reason why he was interested in setting up a similar housing scheme in Pakistan.
“I am not investing in Pakistan because people here would criticize me because of my close ties with the Prime Minister and his cabinet members, and my consultancy to them is free,” he said.
Aneel elaborated the idea of the housing scheme saying that the private sector would build it while the government would provide easy access to capital or loans through global or local banks. For which the homeowners should get permission and utility connections from the Planning Commission without paying any bribe.
It may be recalled that Reham Khan was the second wife of Prime Minister Imran Khan. On January 6, 2015, Imran Khan announced his marriage to her. However, after a few months, the news of the differences began to circulate and finally on October 30, 2015, Imran Khan confirmed the divorce via tweet.
