LAHORE (9th Feb): Gilgit-Baltistan’s Assembly Ministers have expressed sorrow over Twitter’s threatening behavior to shut down Baaghi TV’s Twitter account at the behest of India.
According to reports, the Indian government has filed a petition in the name of Twitter to block the Twitter account of “Baaghi TV”, which is the voice of India’s suppressed community.
In this regard, the ministers of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly have strongly condemned the behavior of Pro-Indian Twitter, calling it an enemy of Muslims.
Speaking to Baaghi TV, Haji Abdul Hameed, Provincial Minister for Local Government, said that he was deeply saddened by the behavior of Twitter which threatened to shut down the account of “Baaghi TV”, a voice of the oppressed sections of India.
He said that Baaghi TV always raised the voice of the oppressed classes. He said that Baaghi TV exposed Indian atrocities against Muslims living in Kashmir and India.
He also said that he wanted to send a message to Twitter that they should show neutrality. Haji Abdul Hameed also expressed his determination on this occasion that he would take up the issue of India blocking Baaghi TV’s Twitter account and Twitter’s mischief in the Assembly.
Addressing Baaghi TV, Haji Abdul Hameed said that he does not tolerate this attitude of social media platforms and will send a message to Twitter very soon to abandon its Pro-India behavior.
Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly Minister for Water and Power Mushtaq Hussain also lamented Twitter’s pro-India stance, saying that Twitter had always shown impartiality and even attempted to silence the voice of Kashmiri Muslims. Twitter also blocked the accounts of those who raised their voices against Indian atrocities.
Provincial Minister Mushtaq Hussain says that India is already in control of other platforms including Facebook where it is engaged in conspiracies against Pakistan. It uses platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp to further its ambitions.
He also said that he condemned the threats to block the Twitter account of “Baaghi TV” and would raise the issue in the Assembly that Twitter and other social media platforms should stop being pro-India.
