According to a news agency, police told local media that a car packed with explosives came near the presidential palace outside the parliament compound, so police opened fire on suspicion. After which the car exploded. As a result, casualties have been reported.
Eight vehicles and rickshaws were also damaged in the blast. The injured have been shifted to hospital for medical treatment. Security forces cordoned off the area.
