Lahore, 22nd March, 6:45, PM: Saudi Arabia has announced the standard operating procedures (SOPs) to be followed by the pilgrims coming for Hajj 2021 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Baaghi TV: According to news, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced that the pilgrims aiming to perform Hajj this year will have to follow certain SOPs.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Health, the authorities have made it mandatory for the pilgrims to get vaccinated from the designated coronavirus vaccine centres before the beginning of the Hajj 2021.

The ministry said, “The pilgrims will be bound to get vaccination ahead of the month of Zilhaj, most precisely two weeks ahead of visiting the kingdom and had to provide concrete evidence of getting a jab from WHO-certified vaccines.”
It added that the foreign pilgrims would have to get tested on their arrival in the kingdom.

The health ministry further issued orders that those working during the Hajj 2021 would also have to receive a dose of COVID vaccine and would have to wear a face mask permanently during working hours.

It further shared, “Those arriving in the kingdom during the Hajj season will have to undergo a PCR test 72 hours before their arrival.”

It also clarified that the pilgrims would have to spend 72 hours in quarantine too.

The handout by Saudi Arabia’s ministry said the pilgrims would undergo COVID test 48 hours after their arrival by approved field service teams and added that 60 per cent population of Makkah and Medinah, will undergo vaccination.
