Lahore, 21st May: Pakistan has been officially added to Amazon’s sellers’ list.

According to reports, the American e-commerce giant Amazon has finally added Pakistan to its sellers’ list.

The news was confirmed by the Advisor to the Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood on Friday.

Dawood took to his Twitter account to make the announcement.

He tweeted, “Today amazon has confirmed that Pakistan has been added to its Sellers’ List.”

He added that it is indeed a big accomplishment for Pakistan’s economy and now it will open up new opportunities for our young entrepreneurs. 

Mr. Razak Dawood congratulated everyone involved in the efforts.

Meanwhile, Amazon made an official announcement saying that ‘we are excited to announce that Pakistani entrepreneurs are now eligible to sell on Amazon.’

Earlier this month, Dawood had pointed out that it is a big opportunity for Pakistan, but there are certain challenges that the logistics companies will have to ensure the timely delivery of the products to their customers.

He added that quality assurance and standardization need to be kept in mind foremost.

Baaghi TV reported on May 6 that SAPM Shahbaz Gill announced that the US e-commerce giant platform Amazon has added Pakistan to its approved seller list.

Gill also said that what could not be done in the last 10 years in the Pakistani digital landscape has been done finally under Imran Khan’s government.
