Amazon has added Pakistan to its seller list

May 6, 2021: Amazon platform services will now be available for Pakistani sellers. Shahbaz Gill, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Affairs announced the news that the US e-commerce giant platform Amazon has added Pakistan to its approved seller list. Gill took to twitter saying what could not be done in the last 10 years in Pakistani digital landscape has been done finally under Imran Khan’s government.

Prime Minister’s advisor on Trade and Commerce, Abdul Razak Dawood also shared the good news on Twitter.

Technology specialist news update site has said that after Pakistan’s addition to Amazon approved selling countries, sellers can make accounts using Pakistani details and hence open them to global market landscep. The article on the website said this is a historic landmark moment and that the milestone event will drasticallt alter the digital e-commerce landscape and will facilitate local business and economic growth.

For the event, a webinar was also organised by the Consulate General of Pakistan, Los Angeles in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan with senior Pakistani business executives.


Shahbaz Gill talked about the promising growth that will come as a result of the decision since Pakistan has now joined the global market which will result in billions for the country in the form of investment and economic growth.
