FM Qureshi holds telephonic conversation with US counterpart

Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi and United States (US) Secretary of State Antony Blinken had a telephone conversation during which the two discussed bilateral relations and the regional situation.

According to the details, FM Qureshi said that Pakistan is committed to US economic cooperation, regional peace and bilateral cooperation. Pakistan seeks to promote trade, investment and bilateral economic cooperation with the United States, he added.

The Foreign Minister emphasized the need for coordinated and high level Pakistan-US dialogue for regional peace and stability.

In this regard, Shah Mehmood said that peace in Afghanistan is similar from the point of view of both countries and Pakistan is committed to continue its sincere efforts for peace in Afghanistan. Both ministers emphasized the need for enhanced bilateral co-operation to achieve meaningful progress in the Afghan peace process.
