Lahore,12th July: Unidentified men threw a grenade in North Waziristan at a girl’s school during their 12th-grade exam.
According to reports, some men on Monday hurled a grenade at a school in North Waziristan when female students were giving their final exams of grade 12.
The police reached the site immediately and started an investigation. However, they confirmed that no casualties took place at the site.
DPO North Waziristan Shafiullah Gandapur told Geo News that unidentified terrorists threw the grenade at the empty security post above a government school in Haider Khel to create panic.
He added that this was an attempt to disturb the law and order situation of the area. An investigation into the attack is underway, and no one will be allowed to disturb the peace here.
Police make important development in model Nayab’s murder case
The DPO further said that the blast was a warning that girls should not be educated in that area.
Meanwhile, the DPO is hopeful to get the results of the investigation soon.
It is to be noted that the Government Girls High School Haider Khel is the only girls’ high school in Mirali Tehsil where girls come from far-off places for education.
