In the last 24 hours, 4,040 cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country and 53 patients have died, according to figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC).
In addition, 2,765 patients were able to recover, after which the total number of cured people reached 964,404.
According to the NCOC, out of the 53 deaths, 25 were of patients undergoing treatment on ventilators, with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa accounting for the highest number of deaths after Sindh.
The rate of patients undergoing treatment on ventilators in certain cities is 28% in Rawalpindi, 38% in Peshawar, 34% in Multan and 46% in Islamabad.
In addition, the proportion of corona-positive cases on oxygen beds in some cities is 59% in Abbottabad, 60% in Karachi, 68% in Hyderabad, and 89% in Skardu.
During the last 24 hours, 53,528 coronavirus tests were conducted, of which 17,625 were in Sindh, 19,506 in Punjab, 10,053 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 3,089 in Islamabad, and 1,047 in Balochistan. Gilgit-Baltistan had 541 Tests and Azad Kashmir had 1,667 tests.
So far, the number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 across the country has reached 964,404.
440 patients are being treated on ventilators across the country, while in Azad Kashmir, no patient is currently on a ventilator.
In addition, the number of people infected with the coronavirus in Pakistan has reached 1,071,620, of which 83,298 cases are active.
The overall situation of coronavirus in different parts of the country is as follows:
- Sindh: 4,400 corona cases, 6,215 deaths
- Punjab: 3 lakh 64 thousand 680 corona cases, 11 thousand 201 deaths
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: One lakh 48 thousand 619 corona cases, 4 thousand 556 deaths
- Balochistan: 31,177 corona cases, 331 deaths
- Islamabad: 90,660 corona cases, 816 deaths
- Azad Kashmir: 27,288 corona cases, 646 deaths
- Gilgit-Baltistan: 8,796 corona cases, 153 deaths
So far, 16.5 million 1,934 tests have been performed across the country for the diagnosis of coronavirus, and 4,276 patients are being treated in 639 hospitals across the country.
