Indian actor Sonu Sood has issued a statement regarding the alleged tax evasion accusations wherein he made an explanatory statement on Twitter.
The actor shared a post on Twitter according to which he has iterated how each penny in his foundation is for humanitarian purposes.
Sonu Sood wrote in his post that you don’t always have to tell your own story, time tells it. “I promised myself that I would serve the people of India wholeheartedly,” he wrote.

In a post released on Twitter, the actor wrote that every single rupee in his foundation was waiting to save someone’s life or reach the needy. “On many occasions, I have encouraged various brands to spend their advertising on humanitarian work on my behalf,” he wrote.
“I have been busy with guests for the last four days so you have been deprived of my services. Now that I am back, my journey will continue forever,” he stated.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Income Tax Department of India had raided Sonu Sood’s houses and offices, who had openly helped the people during the COVID-19, in 28 places including Mumbai, Lucknow, and Kanpur.
After the raids, the Income Tax Department claimed that solid evidence of tax evasion amounting to crores of rupees had been collected against the actor.
