Lahore:.Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that the rule of law and constitution is the top priority of government.

Opposition parties should support the government on judicial reforms. Lawyers have a significant role in dispensing justice. The steps being taken by the government to reform the institutions are unprecedented in the past. Strong and prosperous Pakistan is the foremost goal of PTO led government. Governor Punjab stated this while addressing the oath-taking ceremony of Sangla Hill Bar Association officials at Governor House Lahore and talking to the media persons. President Sangla Hill Bar Association Arfat Zulfiqar, Vice President Tarir Mahmood Pannu, Secretary Amer Hussain Kalon, Senior Member Mian Hamd and others were also present on this occasion.
Addressing the gathering of lawyers, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that the societies where justice doesn’t prevail never prosper.He further said that the current government has been pursuing a policy of establishing the rule of law in the country from the day one and believes in transparency and supermacy of merit by completely removing political interference from the institutions so that Pakistan can move forward. Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that the government is working for judicial reforms and want to take the opposition parties along in this matter but unfortunately the opposition parties are not cooperating with the government in this regard. He urged the opposition parties to go beyond political and personal interests and support the government in legislation for the interest of the country so that we can make Pakistan as envisioned by Quaid i Azam and Iqbal.
Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that when PTI came to power Pakistan was on the verge of economic bankruptcy, but the government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan decided to strengthen the country economically despite the worst crisis due to Corona pandemic. He further said that today, international organizations are also appreciating the steps taken by the Pakistani government in the economic sector. Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that there is no possibility of early elections in the country. The government and its allies are on the same page. Elections will held on time and democracy will be strengthened further in the country, he added.
