CANBERRA: Australian authorities cancel Quad Summit scheduled for Sunday after United States President, Joe Biden, reportedly postponed the visit.
According to Reuters, Australian Prime Minister (PM) Anthony Albanese canceled the upcoming Quad Summit after President Biden pulled out. The Australian PM said the four leaders will be able to talk at the G-7 (Group of Seven) meeting this weekend, in Japan.
On Wednesday, the Australian leader said he understands why the US President, Biden, has had to pull out over concerns about the country’s debt limit talks in Washington. It is pertinent to note that the Quad Summit had been scheduled for May 24 and was set to include leaders from India, Japan, the US, and Australia.
