Employees of European Union (EU) protested against bloc’s inaction and inconsiderate policy towards Palestine, demanding a permanent and immediate ceasefire in Gaza, and the release of all hostages.

On Thursday, staff of different institutions of EU gathered for a silent demonstration against the Union’s policy towards Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories, with the manifestation of a banner that read “EU staff for peace and justice.”

They also demanded the condemnation of all crimes and human rights violations carried out in occupied territories of Palestine, the ending of arms trade between Israel and EU member states, and also the cancellation of the EU-Israel Association Agreement.

The protesters also demanded the implementation of recent decisions by the International Court of Justice (ICJ), where Israel is facing accusations of genocide in its ongoing war in Gaza.

“Once again, EU staff are joining together outside the European institutions to stand in solidarity with occupied peoples,” said Manus Carlisle, one of the organisers of the protest.
