Drug Case: NCB sends Gadgets of Actors to Forensic Experts
New Delhi, 16th December: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has sent 85 devices belonging to Bollywood personalities to the Directorate of Forensic Science (DFS) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, to investigate the drug case related to the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Baaghi TV: According to a report by India.com, it is said that the extracted data included deleted voice clips, videos, chats and mobile numbers from which they were sent.
In addition, the NCB has sent 25 samples of drugs seized in the Mumbai raids for forensic analysis and is sending more. The NCB has also sent samples of drugs seized from the raids to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in order to nab the supplier network and track down the buyers.
According to the report, forensic lab analysis will determine the quality of the drug so that it can focus on the supplier’s network and track buyers.
Most of the 85 devices sent for data recovery are mobile phones belonging to Bollywood personalities who came to know about the NCB investigation in 3 cases, including tablets, pen drives and 2 laptops.
Sources added that mobile phones belong to Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, Sara Ali Khan, Arjun Rampal, Shraddha Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and their acquaintances.
The NCB has asked the Directorate of Forensic Science to establish a link to forwarded calls and messages to track down drug traffickers.
Earlier, Indian media reports said that actor Arjun Rampal has been summoned again by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in a drug-related case.
The NCB launched its probe into the case after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) sent some drug-related WhatsApp chats to the NCB following the suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput in June this year.
Leading actress Deepika Padukone and her manager Karisma Prakash, Karan Johar, Rhea Chakraborty, Sara Ali Khan and Sharddha Kapoor were among the Bollywood actors investigated by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the case.
Rhea Chakraborty, who was arrested in Sushant Singh’s suicide case, had revealed during the investigation that Sushant’s ex-girlfriend Sara Ali Khan also used drugs with him.
