Coronavirus: Suspected cases emerge in IOK

Kashmir (4th Mar, 2020): Reportedly twenty-one suspected cases of COVID-19 have been examined in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOK).

According to Baaghi TV’s reports, 21 suspected cases have surfaced in IOK. However, no cases have tested positive as per latest reports.

Rohit Kansal, Principal Secretary of the Occupied Jammu and Kashmir administration, said during a press conference in Jammu that the Jammu and Kashmir administration is active in investigating the cases of Coronavirus.

Reportedly twenty-one suspected cases have been investigated but no positive case has been revealed so far. In addition to this, so far, a total of 201 people have been contacted in Jammu and Kashmir. These include people who have traveled to countries such as China, South Korea, Iran, Thailand, Italy, Southeast Asia, or who have had contact with those traveling to the above mentioned countries.

Appealing to the public not to be intimidated, according to news agency South Asian Wire, Kansal assured that the entire administrative machinery, including the Health Ministry, has been further activated and is fully vigilant and kept all facilities as needed.

Moreover, the agency has ordered a screening at Srinagar Airport to ensure full inspection of people returning from China, Iran and other affected countries, respectively.
