Lahore, 20th March: Pakistan Cricket Board has charged Umar Akmal under the anti-corruption code.

According to the reports of Baaghi TV, a notice has been served to Umar Akmal on Tuesday, March 17, that he has time till March 31, 2020, to submit a written response to the notice within 14 days.

Article 2.4.4 of the PCB Anti-Corruption Code: The PCB Vigilance and Security Department is not to be notified (without any unnecessary delay) of the offer of corruption by any person.

Under Article 6.2, the violation of article 2.4.4 is, if convicted of an offense of infringement, the sentence is up to six months to a life ban.

Umar Akmal was temporarily suspended on February 20, 2020. A press release has been issued in this regard. The PCB will not release any further statement in this regard.
