Lahore, 22nd March: A recent heart-breaking story related by a mother of a coronavirus patient in Pakistan, is circulating on social media networks.
According to the reports of Baaghi TV, a girl named Syeda Dania Ali, 21, who was doing her Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Marketing from London, came back on 13th March to Pakistan.
The incident has been narrated on the social media by Dania’s distressed mother, who is feeling helpless at such a situation in her country where patients are not able to get proper care and attention for their disease.
According to the reports given by Dania’s mother, she tells us that on reaching Islamabad, Dania felt Covid-19 symptoms, she informed her mother through her telephonic call and asked ger to send away the servants and elderly from their home, in order to take precautions.

Dania along with her brother who was with her in the flight, got herself tested for the coronavirus from Chughtai Lab. The tests came positive for Dania while her brother tested negative, and soon after, Chughtai Labs authorities reported about her tests to the Punjab Health Department.
The health department authorities approached the family and took the patient with them to Gangaram Hospital. However, after waiting for almost two hours they referred her to Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI), in Lahore, saying that Covid-19 patients are treated there.
According to the sources, at around 1:30 am at night, the same day the family along with Dania reached PKLI but after waiting for an hour the hospital management told the patient’s attendants to take her back home as they were not prepared yet.
Dania’s family took her back home. They kept her in isolation and provided her best food to maintain her immunity level. She, according to her mother, was recovering fast.
After a day she was sent back, the Health Department’s authorities contacted the family again and told them that they have made the full preparations for the Covid-19 patients, therefore, she has to come with them. They sent her with the health officials where she was admitted on Wednesday.

It is reported by her mother through her audio message on WhatsApp, that the hospital authorities took her daughter by force to the hospital, they have kept her there almost unattended. She is surrounded by mosquitos and all sorts of unhygienic conditions. Dania asked for food and a blanket but she is neither getting any at the hospital where she is supposed to get proper treatment.
Her mother is very worried about her daughter’s health which is deteriorating rapidly at the hospital, and if the same situation continues Dania will have to suffer rather than being given proper care to fight off the disease.
The concerned mother, like any mother, can be for her child, has appealed to the people to stay indoors and take care of them, themselves as our government and hospitals are not better equipped to fight off the coronavirus and protect their citizens.
