COVID-19: Offices to remain open during lockdown

Lahore, 24th March: With the increasing number of coronavirus patients in the country, the government has announced a total lockdown in all the provinces and the Pak Army has been called upon to assist in controlling the spread of the virus.
According to the reports of Baaghi TV, the Punjab Government has declared a lockdown in the province, considering the rapid spread of the disease and has ordered to close down all the shops, malls, and recreational areas and has taken a decision to keep 13 departments open with the necessary staff.
According to a notification issued by the Punjab government, S&GAD, interior, health, finance and other departments will remain open. Their government offices will not be closed and selective staff will be present in these departments.

According to the spokesman of the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department and the Coronavirus Monitoring Room, there are 249 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Punjab.
Coronavirus has been confirmed in 176 of the Zaireen, 51 in Lahore, 2 in Multan, 2 in Rawalpindi and 5 in Gujarat, 3 in Jhelum, Gujranwala 6, Faisalabad 1, Mandi Bahauddin 1, Rahim Yar Khan 1, and Sargodha 1. All the confirmed patients are kept in isolation wards separately from each other. Patients are being provided with full medical care.
It is important to note that lockdown has been launched across Punjab to contain the spread of coronavirus, which will continue till April 6.
Bazaar, shopping malls, restaurants, private and public offices will be closed in all the cities of Punjab. Lockdown began at 9 am Tuesday in the province during which the transport is restricted within the inner city and from one city to another. Social, religious and other gatherings will also be banned and so the small markets in the cities are closed.
