Lahore, 9th May: According to the report of Baaghi TV, Prime Minister Imran Khan had announced to gradually reduce the lockdown due to coronavirus, whereas, Sindh government announced to continue the lockdown.
Now there are reports from the Punjab government that there will be no relaxation in lockdown. Due to the increase in coronavirus, there will be no relaxation in lockdown in 6 major cities of Punjab. Lockdown will continue in Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, and Gujarat.
The Punjab government has decided that partial lockdown will continue in major cities where the number of corona patients is high. Lockdown will be eased in other 15 districts as cases are reduced. The spread of corona in the milder districts will be reviewed after May 18. Consideration will also be given to maintaining the lockdown in Lahore till Eid.
Coronavirus: Punjab leads with most number of COVID cases in Pakistan
It is to be noted that Prime Minister Imran Khan had announced to end the corona lockdown in phases yesterday. In a meeting of the National Coordinating Committee chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan, the federal government has decided to open small markets, shops, and hardware stores.
In the meeting, it was decided to open shops from Fajr to 5 pm. All stores will be closed two days a week, except for food and drug stores. Educational institutions will remain closed until July 15.
