Karachi, 21st May: Japan has decided to invest in major projects at Korangi Fish Harbor Karachi.
According to a report by Baaghi TV, Japan has decided to invest in major projects in Korangi Fish Harbor. Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi has called on Ambassador of Japan Kuninori Matsuda.
Japan will co-operate in the construction of an auction hall, business park, and cold storage at Korangi Fish Harbor. Japanese cooperation will also help Pakistani marine products meet world standards.
Federal Minister Ali Zaidi said that the Japanese economic model after World War II is exemplary. Pakistan, like Japan, has to move forward by focusing on its manpower. The Pakistani nation is a talented nation. Our workforce just needs a little refinement.
Ali Zaidi further said that cheap labor and exchange rate is most suitable for the export sector in the region. If the right opportunities are provided, Pakistanis will surpass all the nations of the world.
Ali Zaidi also suggested a special zone for the Japanese technology industry in Port Qasim. The participants also discussed in detail the establishment of a deep-sea fishing training institute for local fishermen in collaboration with Japan.
Japan signed a memorandum of understanding on the visa regime for Pakistani manpower in December. Pakistanis will be able to take advantage of jobs in Japan in the fields of fisheries and maritime affairs. Ali Zaidi also spoke about the ease of employment of Pakistani seafarers in Japanese shipping lines.
