The Government of Pakistan (GoP) is operating special charter flights in collaboration with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to repatriate Pakistanis stranded in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
According to the reports of Baaghi TV, some agents are charging extra fare from the Pakistanis stranded in the UAE to bring them back to their homeland.
As per the details, agents are charging more than AED 2,000 for a one-way flight whereas PIA’s one-way fare from UAE to any city in Pakistan is AED 1,120.

Due to a huge flow of passengers, passengers can obtain tickets by visiting the embassies in the UAE, PIA booking offices in Pakistan or agents in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, said the PIA spokesman.
According to the details, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has taken a notice on on overcharging from Pakistanis stranded in UAE amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Moreover, Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar also issued instructions to the national carrier to control the fares of repatriation flights.
Passengers can obtain tickets at the offices of embassies in the UAE, any PIA booking office in Pakistan or agents in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, spokesman Abdullah Khan said.

The PIA spokesman further said that if anyone is charging more than AED 1,120, the passengers should report it to PIA immediately.

Last week, PIA released the special flight schedule for UAE to bring back Pakistanis during the coronavirus pandemic. The national flag-carrier would run fly 32 flights to bring back Pakistanis stranded in the Emirates.
PM Khan, CEO PIA express grief over the plane crash
The flights were part of a large repatriation of operation being conducted by Pakistan government with collaboration of UAE authorities. These flights would go there under a schedule from June 2 to June 10.
