The report signed by the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) regarding Nisar Murai, former Chairman Fisherman Cooperative Society, has been released on the website of Sindh Home Department.

According tot the details, the JIT report revealed that Nisar Murai had given arms as a gift to former provincial interior minister, Zulfiqar Mirza. Nisar Murai revealed to JIT that he had gifted a rifle and two shotguns to Zulfiqar Mirza.

“I also have a passion for weapons. I have 8 Kalashnikov, 2 MP-4 rifles, a triple two rifle and six shotguns,” he said. Before the JIT, Nisar Murai revealed that Zulfiqar Mirza had seized lands in Surjani Town and DSP Javed Abbas and Inspector Musaddiq Rafique had assisted him in taking possession.

According to the report, Nisar Murai has been receiving monthly allowance from his subordinate Sultan Qamar while Nisar Murai has admitted that he used to meet Uzair Baloch several times at the request of Zulfiqar Mirza.

According to Nisar Murai, the former provincial home minister also smuggled drugs from the Chachro border. Former chairman Fisheries told JIT that Zulfiqar Mirza had twice given Rs 2.5 million to Afaq Ahmed, chairman of Mohajir Qaumi Movement Haqeeqi. Moreover, Zulfiqar Mirza also gifted arms to Afaq Ahmed.

According to the report of the JIT, Nisar Murai has invested in a petrol pump and an oil factory. In addition, Nisar Murai has a bungalow of 1000 yards in Defense and a flat of 500 yards in Hyderabad. Nisar Murai also made fake recruitment of 80 illegal 17th and 18th grade officers in the Fisheries Department.

It may be recalled that Nisar Murai was arrested from Islamabad in March 2016 on charges of embezzlement, money laundering and terror financing in the Fishermen’s Cooperative Society.

Furthermore, Sindh government has released the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) reports of Uzair Baloch, Nisar Murai and the Baldia Factory tragedy.

Federal Minister Ali Zaidi had last month filed a contempt of court petition in the Sindh High Court against Chief Secretary Sindh for not making the JIT reports of Baldia tragedy, Uzair Baloch and former chairman Fisheries Nisar Murai public.

The Sindh government later announced that the three JIT reports will be made public on Monday.
