Jeddah: The world’s largest aquarium has been built at the Jeddah Airport which has become the center of attention of the people.

According to the details, a new aquarium has been built at the new airport in Jeddah, which is the largest of its kind in the world. The height of the aquarium built at Jeddah airport is 14 meters and has a diameter of 10 meters. The thickness of the glass aquarium wall is 10 mm.

Moreover, each piece of glass weighs 12 tons (12000 kg). Its rocks are made of silicon and latex which reflect the real coral reefs of the Red Sea. In addition, at the bottom of the fish tank are 4 different tanks designed to restore seawater, which helps reduce the consumption of used seawater.

One million liters of water can be stored in the tank. The water in it is similar to real seawater and is created by adding special salts to the artificial filtered water with the help of chemicals.

One of its features is that it is designed to suit the marine environment. It contains approximately 2,000 marine creatures and includes 65 famous species of the Red Sea, the most important of which are sharks, mollusks, trevals, etc.

The lighting system regularly mimics the day’s cycle, and the moonlight-like night light is automatically powered by 16 halogen daytime running lights and 10 LED lights. The aquarium uses three automated systems that help the new fish move to a separate pond and place them according to their environment.
