Mehwish Hayat expressed desire to be the next Prime Minister of Pakistan

Pakistani actress Mehwish Hayat has expressed the desire to enter into politics. If a cricketer can become Pakistan’s Prime Minister then why not an actress? questioned Hayat.

On the private TV channel’s program “Aik Din Geo Kay Sath,” leading Pakistani actress Mehwish Hayat discussed Pakistani politics and her decision to enter politics.

Mehwish Hayat told host Sohail Warraich that she is highly interested in politics. When asked if she planned to run for office by the host. “Insha Allah”, responded the actress. “Will you go into legislative politics or party politics?” the host inquired.

Hayat responded to this question by saying, “My goal is to make the country a better place. It now comes through parliamentary means or through the formation of a new political party. Only time will tell if this is true.”

“Are you influenced by Imran Khan’s politics or opposition politics?” the host further questioned.

In response to this question, Mehwish Hayat stated that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) politics have impressed her since they have not only brought about a lot of change but also a new way of thinking.

Moreover, referring to Prime Minister Khan, Mehwish Hayat argued that he was a cricketer earlier so, if a cricketer can become the Prime Minister then why can’t an actress become the Premier of the country?

The host asked Mehwish Hayat in surprise, “You intend to challenge Imran Khan?” Mehwish Hayat smiled and replied, “No challenge, but someone has to take his place. Going forward, I can also become a candidate for the post of Prime Minister.“
