Creator of Shehra Afaq Naat, Professor Inayat Ali Khan, passes away

Baaghi TV: The big name of education, literature and satire and humor in Pakistan, the creator of Shehra Afaq Naat, the person who spread smiles on faces has passed away.

Professor Inayat Ali Khan Tonki, the poet of innumerable poems, met his real creator in Karachi this morning.

Professor Inayat Ali Khan was born in 1935 in the Indian state of Tonk. After emigrating in November 1948, he settled in Hyderabad.

Renowned poet Prof. Inayat Ali Khan topped the MA examination from Sindh University in 1962. His famous works include Azrah Inayat, Inayat and Inayatein.

Professor Inayat Ali Khan also wrote two books of stories and poems for children. Many humorous pieces of his poem ‘Bol Meri Machli’ became popular.

According to the family, Professor Inayat Ali died of a heart attack last night. The deceased was 85 years old and had been ill for several months.

Professor Inayat Ali Khan’s famous poem is:

• Hadsey sy bara saneha ye hua
• Log thehrtey nahin hadsa deikh kr

Professor Inayat Ali Khan also wrote poetry for children. Humorous poetry with sharp words was his identity.
