The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has decided to launch a massive public awareness campaign to curb the spread of the corona virus epidemic in the country. The decision was taken at a meeting of the NCOC chaired by Federal Minister for Development and Planning, Asad Omar.
The forum was told that the outbreak of the corona virus has significantly decreased in the country, but also in the implementation of SOPs in general, there has been a decrease in the use of masks in public places and social distances.
Timely steps should be taken for its implementation. The deadly disease is not completely eradicated and it can be prevented only by following the prevailing SOPs regarding the disease.
In mid-June, as the number of coronavirus patients increased and the burden on hospitals increased. The government took practical steps to add 2,150 oxygen beds across the country by July 31st to increase the capacity of hospitals. As a result of the visits of NCOC special teams to all the provinces including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, efforts were made to set up a practical university to add 2,850 oxygen beds.
