Representative Nawaz Sharif told the court that bail has been granted. He had applied to the Punjab government but no copy of the order is available yet. On which Chief Justice Athar Minallah has apparently declared the accused as far as the decision of this court is concerned. Justice Amir Farooq said that the bail granted by the Islamabad High Court has become ineffective.

Earlier today the accountability court summoned former president Asif Ali Zardari on September 9 for indictment in the Tosha Khana reference. The court said Asif Ali Zardari and Yousuf Raza Gilani would be indicted on September 9.
Accountability Court Judge Asghar Ali heard the Toshakhana reference. Asif Ali Zardari appeared in the accountability court with a stick in his hand. The former president wore a face shield, mask and gloves to protect himself from the corona virus.
Strict security arrangements have been made for the appearance of the former president. The 500-meter area around the accountability court was sealed off, and 1,000 Islamabad police personnel were deployed on security duty.
