Shehbaz Sharif’s press conference this evening, important announcements expected

According to a Baaghi TV report, PML-N president and opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif has decided to hold a major press conference this evening.

Shehbaz Sharif will hold the press conference along with senior PML-N leaders at his residence in Munster Enclave, Islamabad. According to reports, important announcements are expected from Shehbaz Sharif in the press conference.

It should be noted that the money laundering reference against Shehbaz Sharif and his family was heard in the accountability court in Lahore.

Lahore accountability court summons opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif on August 27. The court ordered the jail authorities to produce Hamza Shehbaz and other arrested accused at the next hearing. Accountability court judge Jawad Al Hassan heard the case.

The court sought an explanation from the investigating officer on the allegations against Salman, Nusrat, Rabia Imran and Jawariya Ali. The court asked the investigating officer what was the nature of the charges against the accused who were not arrested. The court summoned Nisar Ahmed, Qasim Qayyum, Rashid Karamat and all the other accused for the next hearing.

It may be recalled that an objection was raised against the NAB reference regarding money laundering against Shehbaz Sharif and his family which was later dismissed and allowed for hearing. The reference filed by NAB against 16 accused including Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz consists of 55 volumes.

In the reference filed by NAB in the court, Shehbaz Sharif, Salman Shehbaz, Hamza Shehbaz, Rabia Shehbaz, Nusrat Shehbaz, Nisar Ahmed, Shahid Rafiq, Yasir Mushtaq, Muhammad Mushtaq, Aftab Mahmood, Muhammad Usman, Tahir Naqvi, Qasim Qayyum, Fazil Dad Abbasi and Ali Ahmed have been nominated.

In addition, four accused have become pardoned witnesses against Shehbaz Sharif and others, including Shahid Rafiq, Yasir Mushtaq, Muhammad Mushtaq and Aftab Mahmood.
